The New England Patriots have signed running back Denard “Den” Robinson to the roster, according to the team’s official website.
Robinson was released by the Patriots in April and signed with the Philadelphia Eagles in June.
He had been with the Patriots since 2010 and spent four seasons in New England.
The 31-year-old was in the final year of his contract with the Eagles in 2020 and was cut after a second-half season.
The Patriots’ new starting running back has played for three teams over his career.
He played in three games for the Patriots last season and averaged 6.5 yards per carry.
